Project description
This project aimed to support the implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the National Adaptation Plan through the analysis of adaptation projects carried out in the Dry Corridor and the Gulf of Fonseca in Honduras.
To this end, the Global Factor team identified the adaptation projects developed in the area, as well as those planned and, after the application of a prioritization methodology designed ad hoc, analyzed in greater depth a set of them. During this analysis, on-site visits to the projects were carried out, with the aim of identifying lessons learned and good practices that could be useful in other areas of the country. The team then proposed an action plan for the area to improve its adaptive capacity and reduce its vulnerability to climate change.
The project also included analysis of the transparency framework aligned with the Paris Agreement and recommendations to the country for improving its reporting on climate change adaptation.
