This will be achieved by reducing pollution and environmental impact, efficiently utilizing resources, and fostering green employment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">Costa Rica has been internationally recognized for its environmental achievements, such as its clean energy matrix and conservation of forest cover. However, it still faces significant environmental challenges, including pollution and waste management. Adopting the circular economy will improve production methods, contribute to economic growth, and sustainably preserve natural resources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">&#8220;This new economic model will not only generate environmental benefits but also economic and social ones. Consumers will benefit from material reuse and longer product lifespans, while increased productivity will drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation, improving overall societal well-being,&#8221; highlighted the Minister of Environment and Energy, Franz Tattenbach Capra.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">On an international level, the adoption of circular economy standards and norms will enhance the competitiveness of Costa Rican industries and open doors to new green and sustainable markets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">The circular economy represents an opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of businesses, including micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, by offering opportunities for more efficient resource use and greater innovation, leading to increased productivity and job creation. Implementing this model will create new business opportunities based on sustainable or circular goods and services, as well as the chance to engage in new value chains and markets with circular economy approaches, contributing to sustainability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">The National Circular Economy Strategy was developed with the participation of various public sector institutions, private entities, academia, and non-governmental organizations.
