Project description

Peru is developing the Sustainable Building Code to promote minimum standards of sustainable construction that are mandatory for new commercial and residential buildings. With this instrument, a better energy and water use is pursued.

In this context, Global Factor has supported the National Government of Peru in the collection of real data on energy and water consumption and performing analysis of energy savings and economic viability of a list of energy efficiency and water saving measures. As a result of this initial analysis, we identified the cost-efficient measures that will be included in the sustainable construction code for each type of construction existing in the country and climatic zones.
