DIGITAL

At Global Factor we drive digitalisation in the service of sustainability, combining proprietary tools and technology partnerships to deliver tailored solutions that strengthen every stage of the climate management and decision-making process.

OUR OWN SOLUTIONS

ZERO by Global Factor

ZERO by Global Factor is a digital tool designed to simplify and optimise the calculation of an organisation’s Carbon Footprint. With ZERO you will be able to:

  • Save hours of work thanks to the massive data upload, the automation of the calculation, and the automatic update of results and emission factors, among other functions.
  • Receive guided assistance in the key points of the calculation, facilitating an accurate implementation.
  • Consult and generate automatic reports aligned with the most widely used standards in this field: the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064-1:2019.
  • Easily organise data and evidence, improving traceability and documentary consistency, which will help you in an audit process.

It is a solution designed to provide technical rigour, operational efficiency and agility in climate management.

GoCO2 Neutral

GoCO2neutral focuses on the GHG emissions derived from the trips and/or journeys made by you or your company, performing two main functions: calculating the carbon footprint of these journeys, and the subsequent compensation of the emissions generated.

The projects used for offsetting emissions are projects that are guaranteed and recognised under high international standards.

Bios Model

The BIOS® simulation model, developed by Global Factor and used in numerous national and regional projects (e.g. Spain, Ukraine, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, among others), was designed to project long-term greenhouse gas emissions in order to develop mitigation and reduction strategies.

This model is based on a macroeconomic approach and is based on the interrelation of the different emitting sectors of a country or region through Input-Output tables. The main driver of the model relates the sectors' production to energy consumption, so that the implications of projective GDP scenarios on production, energy and emissions can be understood.

Hydroclim

The Hydroclim model makes it possible to quantify the impact of climate change on the fundamental operating variables of hydroelectric power plants, whether flowing or reservoir-based. It is based on the definition of climate change scenarios and the introduction of physical, technical and operational variables of the plants, to provide results in terms of flow, production, storage and dewatering with an hourly or daily resolution.

The model has been applied to hydroelectric power plants of several energy companies (Enel, Acciona) and some results have been published in the scientific journal Energies.

PARTNERS

In such a fast-moving technological environment, the layers of digitalisation that can accompany environmental management are very diverse. This is why we complement our offer with strategic alliances with specialised technology partners. This collaborative network allows us to integrate platforms and tools that respond to the specific needs of each client.

These alliances are consolidated in key areas such as Product Carbon Footprint calculation, reporting under standards such as CSRD and other sustainability regulations, Climate and Transition Risk analysis, Value Chain assessment, and the programming of our own tools in the client's environment, related to these areas. If the solution you need is not in our current portfolio, we will find the right partner to make it possible.
