Project description

The Global Factor team developed a guide for the operation of the Exclusion List for Banco Pichincha, in order to establish it as a complementary tool to the analysis of socio-environmental risks in the bank’s credit work.

The List of Unfinanced Activities (LANF) is a tool widely used by financial institutions to discard activities, projects or credit operations that, due to internal policies, their high environmental impact are not subject to financing by banking institutions.

Banco Pichincha’s LANF takes into account:

  • Local legislation and regulations.
  • International conventions or agreements.
  • Economic activities that due to the internal policy of the financial entity are not opportune subjects of credit.
