We close an important week at the MWC in Barcelona!

As every year, Global Factor has had the privilege of attending the Mobile World Congress (MWC), as well as contributing to the event by calculating and offsetting its carbon footprint.

From our stand in the upper walkway hall, we were able to have meaningful conversations about how technology can be part of the solution to reduce emissions and build a cleaner future.

In addition, Kepa Solaun, CEO of Global Factor, had the opportunity to get onto the main stage of the MWC Broadcast Stage to share the vision of decarbonisation and cleantech solutions. The Programme focused on five key areas to reduce the carbon footprint of our events: Energy, Production and Waste, Food and Waste, Logistics and Travel, and Accommodation.

The roundtable addressed the future of the cleantech sector in response to the recent agreements reached at the COP28 Climate Change Conference in Dubai. It has been agreed to double energy efficiency and triple renewable energy by 2030, with a special emphasis on the protection of biodiversity and natural resources.
