“City Footprint: calculating, reducing and offsetting the Environmental Footprint in Cities

Global Factor and Ekotek (as project leader) will design and develop a tool for the calculation, reduction and compensation of the Environmental Footprint of Cities in the “City Footprint” project.

The main objectives are to establish Carbon Footprint, Water Footprint and Circularity Footprint scenarios that propose reduction projects (baseline scenario), and for cases with reduction projects. In addition to proposing targeted actions for the reduction of these footprints and defining a portfolio of City Footprint reduction projects.

For the development of “City Footprint” the entities have received funding from the FEDER, within the Hazitek programme of the Basque Government.
