Project description
In this project, we calculate annually the carbon footprint for the world’s biggest mobile telephony event. The analysis we carry out is highly complex, covering GHG emissions from organising the event (coordination, set-up and dismantling of the event), to the activities of the participants (companies from the mobile telephone sector present in the hall) and visitors of the event (transport and overnight stays).
Furthermore, in 2014 we achieved emissions neutrality for the event under the PAS 2060 standard. For this, we calculated the carbon footprint once more and draw up a plan for managing GHG emissions. Finally, we compensated for GHG emissions, making this the largest world event to be certified as emissions-neutral under PAS 2060.
