Development of Panama’s National Climate Action Plan and implementation of a strategy for the execution of its NDC

The main objective of this project was to support the development of the Republic of Panama’s National Climate Action Plan (NAP) and to support cross-sectoral dialogue among key local stakeholders in order to enhance and strengthen the capacity of the Government of the Republic of Panama in climate action, as well as to plan and implement the country’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).

For the development of the NDCP, the Global Factor team proposed recommendations for the vision to the year 2050, and set out its strategic axes and general lines of action to 2030. Regarding the planning and implementation of the NDC, the Global Factor consulting team defined specific measures for the near-term implementation of mitigation and adaptation commitments, including implementation arrangements and funding sources, as well as the identification of technological, financial or country capacity constraints.
