Project description

The SBT4Tran project aims to develop an Integrated Information Management and Analysis System to enable organisations to assess their contribution to climate change and define greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets in an objective and realistic manner. This system is based on the Science Based Targets (SBTi) methodology that leverages existing scientific knowledge on climate change to develop GHG emission reduction targets.

The project initially focuses on the transport sector and will subsequently develop the necessary modules to cover other sectors. The system includes a carbon footprint calculation engine, a support tool for the definition of GHG emission reduction targets, a reporting and certification management system based on blockchain technology and a data analysis system based on artificial intelligence.

The Global Factor team is working on the SBT4Tran project providing support in the design, development and creation of the tool, using its experience and specialised knowledge to carry it out.

SBT4Tran is a project co-funded by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021-2027.
